Solar eclipse experience

Alex (Daily Moth): Hello. I’m here in Ontario. That is Lake Erie.

Why am I here? Of course, for the eclipse. Total solar eclipse. I’m excited.

Of course, I have special glasses. The moon just started nibbling at the sun.

(30 minutes later)

I’m feeling a bit cold. And it’s getting a little darker. The moon is still moving. I’m feeling the change.

(15 minutes later)

It’s now a crescent. The sun looks like a moon. It really does feel cold. I have to put this on. My hands are cold.

(30 minutes later)

(Totality!)

Wow, it’s completely dark! The eclipse is beautiful. You can see a ring of light. It really does feel cold. Dark.

(After five minutes)

It's now bright. I feel like the sun is rising.

(Another five minutes)

It’s much brighter. Awesome experience. Solar eclipse. The next one for us is on August 23, 2044. That’s 20 years later. Hope we are all still alive by then. Cool. Solar eclipse 2024.
