Hisham did send us a video. We will show it.

Hisham: Hello! As you know, in Lebanon, Beirut, a blast happened. Wow. Also it was on the TV news worldwide. You know it is not easy for the Deaf community in Lebanon. The country is very small. When the blast happened, many hearing people felt so sad because of many deaths. Many deaf people were lucky to not be impacted from the explosion. But, I want to inform all of you about an update, sad news to share with you. A few days ago, one deaf man died. Lebanon is depressed. Why? We are family together. When one dies, it impacts all of us. Just one deaf man. Wow. Plus this deaf man died from the bomb, how? He was finished working. He went to his friend’s home. The explosion went off. It happened. His parents are still alive. Now, I want to share with you that now in the Deaf community, there are not many jobs available for us. Many were laid off. Also, for deaf Lebanese, the government is not giving financial support. Nothing. Also, getting income, Lebanon culture for this income, absolutely nothing. We have to support ourselves. Also, letting you know the Lebanon government has resigned. Thank you.

Renca: Thank you Hisham for sharing. You can go to his Facebook page for more updates. A link to his Facebook page: Hisham Salman Vlogs.

First time. I experienced this in the 1975 war. But this one was bigger. Huge blow of wind and I could hear the explosion. I was scared.

Hisham: You could feel the blast. You thought of your family.
