Old-Time Deaf Bing

Renca:
I’m at my Deaf friend’s house and you know the Deaf Bing!

[Renca gives a series of short skits showing her doing the following topics: “1. BANG ON THE DOOR, 2. DOORBELL LIGHTS, 3. WAVING THRU WINDOW, 4. TEXT/FACETIME, AND 5. RING APP/DOORBELL APP.”]

But you know back in the old days, there were different ways like this example…

[The screen has turned into black-and-white. Renca acts like an old-time character who is trying to knock on a door. There is a male inside of the house, napping on a chair. He does not hear the knocking. Renca’s character then sees a string hanging from the top of the door and proceeds to tug at it. The string then pulls up the male’s arm, waking him up.]

Renca: (KNOCKING)

Male: (SNORING)

Renca: (BANGBANGBANGBANG)

Male: (STILL SNORING)

Renca: (TUG TUG TUG)

Male: Someone is here. Hmm!

[End black-and-white video skit]

Renca:

That is an “OLD TIMES DEAF BING.”
