Vicky White dies, Casey White captured

On Monday, law enforcement tracked Vicky White and Casey White, the corrections official and an inmate who escaped from an Alabama prison on April 29, at a hotel and leaving in a car. There was a car chase that ended with the car crashing and flipping.

When police approached the wrecked car, they found Vicky with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her head. She passed away later on Monday evening.

Casey survived the wreck and was detained. Police said Casey asked them to help his wife and that she shot herself in the head and he didn’t do it. The couple were not married at the time of the jail escape but they may have considered themselves to be husband and wife.

Casey will be brought back to Alabama, where he faces previous murder charges. The local sheriff vowed that he would not get out of that jail again. The sheriff also said he doesn’t know if we’ll ever know why Vicky did what she did.

Musk says he would allow Trump back on Twitter

Elon Musk said today at a conference that he would allow Donald Trump back on Twitter when his purchase of Twitter is complete. He said it was a mistake to ban Trump because it “alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”

Musk purchased Twitter for $44 billion on April 25 but the acquisition process will have to go through several months of approvals.

Musk said he doesn’t own Twitter yet so this is not a guarantee, but vowed that he would reverse Trump’s permanent ban when (and if) he does own Twitter.
