Indiana woman crashes car into “Israelite School”

Police in Indianapolis said a 34-year-old woman intentionally crashed her car into a building called the Israelite School of Universal and Practical Knowledge because she was angry about the Israel-Hamas war.

ABC 7 News said that “school” is actually not a Jewish school but is considered anti-Israel and antisemitic by Jewish organizations.

But the woman, Ruba Almaghtheh, didn’t know that and told police she crashed into the “Israel school” because she was watching the news about the Palestinian people and couldn’t breathe anymore.

No one in the building was injured. Almaghtheh was arrested for criminal recklessness and police said they informed the FBI about the incident.

California man dies after clash at Israel-Hamas war protest

The man, Paul Kessler, was Jewish. Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide and asked for anyone with information to share it.

A rabbi of a nearby temple asked people to not make assumptions or accusations until police can do their job and/or we get video. A Muslim organization said it was deeply saddened and cautioned people against using the incident for political gains.

Netanyahu says Israel will control “security” in Gaza after war

Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel will have overall security responsibility in Gaza for an indefinite period after its war with Hamas ends. This means that Israel is thinking of having a form of control inside Gaza in the near future. This would be very different from Israel maintaining a border fence and keeping its distance away from internal affairs in Gaza.

It is now a month since Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, killing over 1,400 people and taking about 240 hostages. Israel’s military has responded by conducting heavy bombardments across Gaza that have killed about 10,000 people, including over 4,000 children.

BBC News said there is fighting in the northern Gaza Strip between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters and that airstrikes are continuing across Gaza.
