Deaf performer Megg Rose Davis missing

A deaf actress and performer named Megg or Meagan Rose Davis, who is a well-known ASL performer with tens of thousands of followers, a co-founder of Deaf Women of Faith, and an actress in the 2008 series “The Deaf Family,” has been missing for more than a week. She was last seen in the Austin, Texas area on Sunday, May 30.

Megg’s best friend and power of attorney (POA) representative, Cindi Schlecht, posted an emotional vlog last night asking people in the deaf community to provide any information on her whereabouts. She said Megg has been struggling with her mental health and that it is possible she doesn’t want to be found or is in danger.

Cindi Schlecht: Hello. I hope she isn’t in danger, or with the wrong people, or is hurt. Or, it is possible that she doesn’t want to be found. I don’t know. That’s why the support we get from you guys, the better, so we can find her. To reunite her with her loved ones and get the mental health support she needs.

Alex: Cindi provided an email address for people to reach out with any information — bringmeggrosehome@gmail.com. The link to her post is below in the transcript.

“The Daily Moth” reached out to Cindi about noon today to ask if there are any updates, and she said there are none -- that she is still missing and she still needs the public’s help in locating her.
