Deaf estranged father pleads guilty to murdering daughter last July
CTV News in Winnipeg, Canada reported that a 29-year-old deaf man named Frank Nausigimana pleaded guilty in court to second-degree murder in the death of his three-year-old CODA daughter, Jemimah Bunadalian. The girl was stabbed to death while she was in her mother’s vehicle after Frank forced himself into it.
“The Daily Moth” did a report about this incident last July. We explained that Frank had a relationship with the mother, who is also deaf, that lasted for a few years but it ended when the mother became pregnant. The mother testified in court that Frank tried to force her to drink a toxic liquid in order to get an abortion in 2017. He was charged with assault and pleaded guilty. There was a protection order on behalf of the mother that lasted for a few months until the mother requested the order to be revoked so both could attend the same church.
Both the mother and father had no contact for many months. According to an interview last year with a person close to the mother, Frank became angry with the mother because she became engaged with another man and wanted to have 50/50 custody of the girl, but the mother was opposed to it.

Last July, the mother was parked at Jemimah’s daycare and the girl was inside the vehicle when Frank approached them while holding a knife, got inside the car, and told the mother to drive. The mother drove for a little bit and then asked to switch seats and when both adults got out of the car, the mother ran away and thought Frank wouldn’t hurt their daughter. But Frank stabbed Jemimah and then asked a person nearby to call 911 because he had just killed his daughter. CTV News said the child was found with stab wounds to her heart and chest. The girl was rushed to a hospital but passed away.
Frank was charged with first-degree murder but is now pleading guilty to second-degree murder as a part of a plea deal. CTV News said Frank stated in court, “Yes, I admit I am guilty” and “I accept the punishment and am following the law of God.”
CTV News said a sentencing hearing is scheduled for September and that prosecutors are requesting Frank serve 19 years in prison before he is eligible for parole.
So, this is clearly a very tragic story of an abusive partner who decided to take out his anger on an innocent child, Jemimah.
