“Bachelor” Week 2 recap with deaf woman Abigail

Renca Dunn:
Now it is “The Bachelor” recap for week 2 with the first Black man bachelor, Matt James and the first deaf contestant in the show, Abigail Heringer. Make sure you check out our videos from two weeks ago and last week with more information and recaps.

So, now it is Week 2 recap. For last night’s episode with Abigail, there was not much screen time on her, she only appeared in short scenes. Abigail was on a group date with Matt. The women had to choose their wedding dresses. Each woman wore one and then they lined up for their mock wedding photo shoot with Matt.

There were short glimpses on Abigail. The next thing that the group had to do after the photoshoot was go in the woods and have a “paintball” fight, but using wedding items instead like bouquets, cake, etc. They had to dip those items in paint and throw them at each other. There were two teams.

Abigail was in one team and her team lost. This means this group does not have a chance to have a private small group date with Matt. They headed back to the mansion. On the rose ceremony night, Abigail mentioned she did not have a chance to chat with Matt that week. So she pulled Matt away for a short one on one conversation. Both of them were talking. Both of them said they missed each other. Abigail brought up that she wanted to have some kind of secret signal with Matt. You know, like blowing a kiss, but instead Abigail will touch her ear. This will mean she is blowing a kiss to Matt. Matt laughed and said he liked that idea. He said he will do that signal back to Abigail. The both of them agreed to their secret signal move.

After that, Matt mentioned on camera saying that he really liked Abigail. He said Abigail is one of the sweetest persons he knows and likes to be around her. She always makes him laugh.

There was one dramatic scene with a woman named “Queen Victoria” – that is her title. That woman had a fight with another contestant and resulted in that contestant crying. Abigail came to her, hugged her, and gave her support.

When it was time to give out roses, Matt called Abigail to give her a rose.

Abigail did get a rose! However, the ceremony was not finished. One woman was not feeling well and nearly fainted. The show is “to be continued.” But, good news is that Abigail did get a rose! Now, let’s see how she will do for next week!
